Is this an actual open source solution or some commercial offering that costs money to use?
Because we need to bring Vulkan to the Apple platforms in a way that can everybody can use it, and I was thinking that building Vulkan support on top of Metal might indeed be a good approach. (But if this ends up being a commercial solution then we are basically at ground zero, and someone needs to replicate all the work you did and make it globally available.)
It is pretty clear, it a commercial solution.
Looking at the MetalGL price though, at least for a single license, it is reasonable.
Hope MVK will not be more expensive.
Can you be more specific about what you are proposing? What type of open-source projects are you looking to support, and under what conditions?
For example, are you thinking of a situation where final products (eg- app or game, etc.), would also be free (ie- no one is making money), such as in say an educational or hobby market?
